Ascellus Cements Their Industry Leadership with Rollout of New Company Website

After years in the back seat, behavioral health has become a top priority for the workers’ compensation industry

Ascellus, a leading behavioral health provider focused on helping injured workers restore their physical and emotional wellbeing, today rolled out a new and improved company website.

The new website signifies more than a typical website rollout. While most website rollouts focus on updated branding, sleek design, and a better user experience, Ascellus’ new website does all of that and more. It represents a shift in the workers’ compensation industry – an emphasis on behavioral health like never before.

“Behavioral health has become a fundamental component of a workers’ compensation claim,” said Ascellus CEO Joe Holtschlag. “As the industry continues to understand just how tied physical recovery is to one’s mental state of mind, people are seeking out our services, and our website is becoming an increasing important tool for us.”

It’s not hard to see why when looking at the data. According to the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), claims with a mental health component are 2.5 times more expensive. What’s more, industry data shows that claims complicated by mental health factors can last up to three times longer.

“There is a powerful story to tell about how psychosocial factors, such as fear and avoidance, can significantly impact recovery and return-to-work outcomes,” continued Holtschlag. “We’re here to tell that story, and more importantly, bring real, comprehensive solutions to the industry.”

Once on the new Ascellus homepage, visitors are welcomed with two clear calls to action – ‘Start a Referral’ and ‘Get More Information.’ As you scroll, visitors are introduced to Ascellus’ complete suite of services, including delayed recovery prevention, mental health solutions, and advanced psychological evaluations. The new website goes on to explain Ascellus’ vital role in workers’ compensation management, complete with clinical insights, research, and publications to support their work.

“We wanted to create an intuitive website for current and prospective clients,” added Ascellus Vice President of Sales & Customer Activation Nancy Schaefer. “With the industry now aligned on the benefits of behavioral health, we went through many iterations of the website before rolling it out. We wanted to be certain we clearly answered every question someone might have; communicated what solutions are available; and explained when and how to incorporate them.”

Since Ascellus’ founding in 2021, the company has been advocating that behavioral health plays a much bigger role in workers’ compensation claims.

“We are committed to supporting recovery, improving outcomes, and moving workers’ compensation claims forward,” said Holtschlag. “Our new website is the next step in our evolution as a company and our leadership position in this industry. But what’s most important is ensuring we are a trusted partner for our clients and the injured workers we all serve, and I think our new website does a great job of demonstrating that desire.”

Taft Growth Marketing, a workers’ compensation industry-leading marketing partner, spearheaded Ascellus’ website redesign. With more than 50 years of combined experience, Taft Growth Marketing’s dynamic team drives growth for clients with innovative marketing solutions that stand out in the ever-evolving workers’ compensation landscape.
